I use a mixture of pine, red fir and white fir boughs and cedar boughs
Then take the rest of the strips and tape around the entire vase
Tape two of these to the vase. (I buy these at the dollar store) Plastic relish tray. Offset the strips so that they do not go over the center of the wet foam brick.
While it is soaking take a strip of duct tape and tear it into 1/4 inch strips

First soak your wet foam for a few minutes. Then cut off 1/3 of it for the centerpiece.
