Birds in Paradise

All of these birds in the yard or the field today.  Just a few of the many. As you can see from the photos, they really like our cedar fence posts.  Their bird songs wake me up every morning and I am trying to learn some of them.  What a great way to start the day.

 Townsend Solitaire

 Robin

 Oregon Junco

Strix varia  -  Barred Owl
The is the first Barred Owl that we have seen on our land.

Zonotrichia leucophrys -White Crowned Sparrow
They like safe brushy tangles that mix with grassy ground for foraging.  This little guy loved our Currant Bushes.

What a fat little sparrow! If he falls down into the currant bush he may never get out again! Ha! CUTE!
