We almost always had our own fireworks display unless it was a dry 4th of July season. My favorite music while watching the fireworks, Fanfare for the Common Man, by Aaron Copland. It was written as a tribute to those engaged in World War II.
And, of course, this one. The "dog fight" is at 2:44. The piccolo solo is my favorite part at 3:01. Then the "fight" returns at 3:27. Enjoy.
