fire whenever they get a call. It has everything the firefighter thinks he might need while out on a fire.
They also have something called "line gear", but I'm just a grandma and I'm not exactly sure what that gear
includes. Maybe a pulaski? This Red Bag is not "geared up" as I don't have a photo of that. When it is
geared up, it is jammed pack full of stuff and also has many things attached to outside straps.
Firefighter Dylan woke up this morning thinking he had the next three days off. Everything was quiet and calm
until 8:10 a.m. when he got a call from the Panhandle Hotshot Crew. Was he available to go on a fire? Could
he get to CDA by 10:00 a.m.? Whoa! Of Course! A chance to go on a fire with the "shots". He was out the
door in five minutes.
He is now headed for the Kennedy Fire near Plains, Montana. It looks like the terrain is very steep and the
temps might be hot there today. He will earn his money.

Alright Dylan, that's great news for a firefighter.
When saw the smoke on our way home through Paradise from Hope late Sunday, we didn't think it would become his assignment! Today it is 60 acres! Go Dylan Go!
