Retired Mountain Lady

Whew! The holidays are over! What a great time we had! Kids, grandkids, family, friends. Yummy food, sledding on New Year's Eve with a bonfire to stay warm. Just enough craziness to keep it very interesting. The over 60 crowd attempting the sled run backwards, standing up and backwards.......quite a few tumbles and bruises but no broken bones. A great snowball fight and then at midnight the songfest began. Possibly the best version of "The House of the Rising Sun" ever! The kidlets sang "Big Rock Candy Mountain" with us. The party wound down at 1:30 a.m. with most of the kidlets asleep, but not all. Needless to say, it was a very quiet, lazy day at our house on New Year's Day. Football and movie time.
