Todays to do list....

Unload the music equipment from the gig the night before.  A hand cart is definitely what is needed for this job.  No more carrying the keyboard.

After taking this photo, I set my camera on top of the car and forgot I had put it there.  About a half hour later RMM got in the car and drove it to Sunset View Lane to pick up some snow tires that he bought.  Luckily for us, my camera rode on top of the car all the way to Mike and Marilyn's and back.  I met RMM half way up our driveway and the camera was still right where I had left it.  Whew!

The next task was to put up the Dilly Beans and the Dill Pickles.

This is enough for this year.

And now for some photos of Retired Mountain Man's dahlias.

Last but not least, the Candy Corn is ripe.  It's time to put it in the freezer.

And mow the lawn....
Done!

Fall harvest is in full swing

I love fall when the weather starts to turn and the temperature at night begins to cool off.  The pace seems to slow down a bit and it gives me a chance to slow down and enjoy it all.  There is nothing that compares to the sweet taste of Candy Corn from the garden along with some vine ripened tomatoes.

Retired Mountain Man's dahlias are beautiful as always.

I haven't been taking photos of the harvest, but I will try to do that from now on.     That said, there is work to be done, even if the pace is slow.

To Do List:

Make Dilly Beans, can the green beans, pull the beets, freeze and pickle some of them, pick the sweet corn and freeze, pick the peppers and freeze, etc.....don't forget the tomatoes....onions, carrots, eggplant, zucchini, cucumbers. shallots.....

George Carlin's take on the American Dream

It's the first day of school in our area.

Warning:  George uses many expletives in his monologue.  This is not for sensitive ears.
