Oyster Party Photos

Oyster Party

The Oyster Party was a blast!  So much great food, good music and great singing!  The party started at 2:00 pm and ended at 11:30 pm.  I think we sang songs for three hours straight!  No breaks!  Almost every song in the books (84) and some additional songs that Jeff brought to us from Rhode Island!

The kid's games were so much fun.  I think both the participants and the audience enjoyed the games.  We had a two Bucket Brigade Games, Musical Clothes and an Obstacle Course game.  The Obstacle Course was:  walk with a bowl of water on your head to the pennies on the plate, take off your shoes and pick up the penny with your toes and put it in the bowl, run and then crawl under the bar, put a pair of socks on your hands and unwrap a caramel candy, then back to your bowl of water, put it on your head and walk backwards to your teammates!

Ellie and Rylee try to pick up the penny with their toes!

Julie explains how to put on socks on your hands to unwrap the caramels.

Ben helps with the tent

Ben helped Grandpa set up the tent for the party! Let's see... I wonder if he really needs this part or if I can chew on it first for a while....

I'm sure he needs this one next.

Maybe if I just blow on this, it will set up the whole tent?

Aha!  I think this is the shape we need!

Oyster Party Preparations

I have been busy getting ready for the big day. There's going to be lots of great food, oysters, steamed clams, corn on the cob, roasted new potatoes........Yum.  Plus some great music from the band and a sing-a-long in the evening.  It looks like it's going to be a cool evening so the fire pit will be going for marshmallows.

I hope I will have time to take some photos for the blog.

Time to catch up!

It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm finally back.  I will start with some photos of Collin and Rylee when we went to Ross Creek Cedars.

Blue, my favorite color!

Nice sunset!

Ben goes for a swim.

If this was a lawnmower, I could help Grandma!

Cheerio lover!
