Moyie Springs and Beyond.....

I went on our annual trip to Ronninger's Organics last week with Ann and Linda to buy onion and potato sets.  It's a day long adventure to Bonners Ferry and Moyie Springs and the middle of nowhere.  I love the middle of nowhere!

It's not easy to find Ronninger's  and on several of our first trips there we kind of went in circles until we found the right turn-off for Perkins Lake Road.   One of the landmarks to watch for is the Curley Creek Fire Department and Community Hall.

OK then, we are NOT lost.

What?  Use a map?  No way!

We arrive at 7312 Perkin's Lake Road, Moyie Springs, Idaho. Trust me - it's not in Moyie Springs.  It's a long way from Moyie Springs.

Ronninger's Organics
It's a beautiful farm and I love the log buildings.  There are two very large root cellars and a storage building for the potatoes and onions.

There's no salesperson.  You just pick out your potatoes, weigh them, write your name and address in their sales book and list what you bought.  Then you put your money in a metal box.

When you are finished, you can go back outside to take a look at the farm.

They also have horses and very large pastures.

Next on the agenda - we head back to Bonners Ferry for lunch at Under the Sun and a little shopping.

When we came out of the local book store there was a beautiful Camero parked out front.

They just don't design them like they used to.

Our last stop is my favorite, the Moose Valley Greenhouse.

We bought so many plants that we filled the Outback and almost had to carry some of them on our laps to get everything back to Hope.  How could that happen?
