OMG, it's not my birthday, is it?

The first of July is celebration time for the Cougar Creek Krewe.  We have three band members who have "4th of July birthdays" and trust me, the CCB along with Travis, the grill man, knows how to throw a party.

A little bird had told us the that one of our members birthdays was to be "the big one".  You know, the one that tells you that you might be "over the hill".

BBishop, Bass Man
There was quite a bit of scheming about how to help bass man properly celebrate his milestone birthday but we had toned it down to an acceptable level by Sunday.

Unfortunately, the bass man was called in to work the night of the party.  The celebrating went on as planned and he joined the ninety-nine percent of our band (the ones over the age of 49) without fanfare.  (I think he was breathing a sigh of relief.)

To assist Mandolin Ann and Accordion Linda in celebrating their birthdays that meant we had to drink peach margaritas and eat shrimp remoulade, grilled moose burgers and salads that were as tasty as you could find.  Not to be outdone, our sax man, Michael, created this awesome birthday cake.

Sax Man's cake amplifier played the music to "Happy Birthday".

The blowout!

Today we will be decorating the parade float and getting ready for our annual march in the 4th of July parade in Clark Fork, Idaho.  It's a great place to be on the 4th of July.

Happy Birthday to Ann, Bruce and Linda!

 Happy 4th of July!
