La Niña changes her mind this year

La Niña usually means snow on Old Cougar Road and lots of it.  Cold, really cold.  Brrr.
Not this year.  We are experiencing a strange winter.  There is no snow.  The temperatures have been almost twenty degrees above normal.

No need to shovel the porch, the deck, the walk.  No need to plow the driveway.  No risking your life sliding down Spring Creek Road.  Boring.  Boring. Boring.  There is no "man against the elements".   No challenges.

Might as well go for a walk to test out my new baby Canon.  The camera was set to Auto so the flash kept popping up on every photo.  I will have to figure out how to turn it off.

Notice there is not a snowflake in sight.

A view of the Green Monarchs.  There's some snow over there.

It does make the walking easier.  No snowshoes needed here.
